ABOUT STEVE
Steve Such is the winner of Tommy Igoe's Groove Essentials 10th Anniversary Drum Contest by Hudson Music, has been featured on Vic Firth’s Shed Sessions, chosen as a Grand Finalist in the Chad Smith Bombastic Drum Contest by Drum Channel, was a member of the Disneyland All-American College Band, and was named San Diego's Guitar Center Drum-Off Winner in 2013.
Steve has been recognized by Drum Talk TV, Drummerworld.com, Hudson Music, and more for his video 100 Rules For Drummers, which has since turned into a weekly blog for drummers.
Steve is currently on tour playing the hit musical Rock Of Ages, one of the longest-running Broadway musicals of all time. Recently, Steve played with American Idol artists Blake Lewis and Mikalah Gordon, and has opened for such acts as P.O.D., The Wailers, Bret Michaels, and Steel Pulse.
In addition to playing with the internationally-touring Red NOT Chili Peppers, Steve lives/plays in the Southern California area. In 2016, Steve launched ASK THE DRUMMER PODCAST, a place where drummers from all over the world can get their questions answered. He's also a member of the writing team for D'Addario's Education Collective

Steve holds a degree in Jazz Performance from Indiana University Bloomington. He has studied with Steve Houghton, Michael Spiro, David Baker, Ed Gaus, and Anthony Cirone.
